During the registration process you will be given a 4-digit number that can be used to verify your phone number. The system will then automatically call the primary phone number you entered and ask you to enter the 4-digit code. The system is only able to verify bidders within the United States, buyers outside the United States will be required to call Auctions By Gov to complete their phone verification.
3. Verify Your E-mail Address

If you do not receive this e-mail please check your junk mail folder. Adding email@example.com to your e-mail address book prior to registration may help prevent this verification e-mail from being considered spam.
4. Start Bidding
Once you have registered, simply start searching for equipment and start bidding. If you are the highest bidder at the close of an auction, you will be notified by email and the payment and pickup procedures will be explained.
Remember that most bidders take advantage of our automatic Max Bid feature to optimize their auction experience. With Max Bid, set the maximum you’re willing to pay and the system automatically places incremental bids on your behalf. You’ll never pay more than you have to – the system stops raising your bids when competing bids subside and not other user will ever see the amount you entered as your Max Bid.
Pricing for Buyers
Buyers will be charged a buyer's premium, which will not exceed 10% of the final purchase price. The exact buyer's premium is always displayed in the "Lot Terms" tab in our listings. The buyer's premium amount is also displayed in the bidding process before the bid is confirmed so you can be certain of the total dollar amount to which you are committing.
Pricing for Sellers
If you’re a seller, your agency may have special requirements that will affect pricing. Standard pricing at Auctions By Gov is a 10% buyer’s premium (a commission the buyer will pay) and no fees for the seller.
